Nepal's thundering waters, coming from the glaciers of the mighty Himalaya, provide ultimate thrills for rafting and immersing oneself in the landscape. A rafting is bound to be the highlight of your stay in Nepal.

For the purpose of commercial rafting, the following main rivers are in use.

1. Saptakoshi (East Nepal)
2. Narayani or Saptagandaki (Central Nepal)
3. Karnali (West Nepal)

Eight rivers (sub-rivers of main rivers) are open for tourist for rafting.

Trishuli River Rafting

Trishuli River Rafting (01 / 02 days)

Day 01- Kathmandu - Charaudi 3 hours by bus. Your rafting starts after your guide instruct you about the trip. Presence of many rapids makes this part the best for white water rafting. After 2 hours rafting, we make a lunch break and continue again and camp at Kurintar.

Day 02 - Trip commences after breakfast and continues up to lunch break. It resume after lunch and trip ends at pachkilo. You can either return to Kathmandu or proceed to Pokhara or Chitwan National Park.

Marshyangdi River Rafting

Marshyangdi River Rafting (04 days)

Grade: 4-5

The 'Raging river' drains the northern slope of the Annapurna mountains. It was only opened to rafting in 1996 and yields some of the most exiting class iv-v white water in Nepal. This river demands 100% commitment from both crew ;and guide. It is totally difference from the big volume rivers like the Karnali and Sun Koshi the rapids are technical and require a very different approach. Big volume rivers need power and good lime, the Marsyangdi needs fast reactions power land a good line from the crew to get though this pin ball machine river. The Marsyangdi quickly forges raft crews of complete strangers into true rafting teams. Located on the eastern side of the Annapurna circuit, the Marsyangdi rivers has long been famous for the beautiful views. With each twist and turn the steep sided gorge walls frame a new mountain backdrop.

Bhote Koshi River Rafting (02 days)

Grade: 4-5

A short bus ride from Katmandu brings us to ' 95km ' on the Kathmandu - Tibet road. This is the put-in of the most action packed short white water run in Nepal. The river drops steeply offering relentless stretches of class iv-v white water. Boulder gardens, small waterfalls, steep chutes and 90 degree bends are just some of the obstacles to be overcome. Like the Marsyangdi, this river is not typical of the big volume water of the Himalayan, it is steep and technical and requires a reactive.

Seti River Rafting (02 days)

Day 01- From Kathmandu or Pokhara drive to Damauli starting point. Not many rapids as on second day. Camp first night on a spacious beach.

Day 02- After breakfast, while floating down the river we got some technical rapids and the topography changes with lots of rock formation. After lunch trip end at Gaighat and you can either return to Kathmandu or proceed to Pokhara or Chitwan National Park.

   


PERSONAL ITEMS SUGGESTED TO CARRY


During autumn (mid-September through November) and spring (March- June)
For A Day Trip: T-shirts, shorts or light cotton trousers, tennis shoes/sneakers, swim suit, sun hat, sun glasses and sun block.

During winter (December through February)
For A Day Trip: Warm shirts/shirts or T-shirts, wind proof jacket and trousers, tennis shoes/sneakers.
You can also carry reading materials, specific medication if required, camera, binocular, film, pocket knife and flashlight.
